Christmas was getting closer and that meant my family wanted to make Ostakaka. The Swedish dessert is made with fresh raw milk. For living in Central Nebraska that is a hard ingredient to find. On Facebook I mentioned that we were looking for a source for the milk. Friends of ours mentioned Malloree and her new business The Milk House. Not only was it a relief to find the source for the milk but a wonderful surprise on the quality of product. 

The moment we stepped onto the property we were greeted with a friendly environment. She and her family were very informative about their milk and the products they make with it. We could hear her passion for the care of her cows and her future business plans. We noticed right away that the farm was well kept and that the safety and care of the animals and the milk products was highly important to them. 

We were so excited to use the milk to make the dessert because it was by far the creamiest milk we have ever worked with. The Ostakaka turned out very rich and creamy. We will definitely be a repeat customer. We look forward to using the milk for ice cream, as well as other products The Milk House comes up with as they build their business.
